Christmas Eve feelings

Merry Christmas Eve! Such a strange and wonderful night, when time stands still.
I remember Christmas Eves long ago, when I could hardly wait for bedtime. I would try to stay awake and listen for Santa!
On Christmas Eve we make a special meal and set a place at the table for loved ones who are no longer with us here on Earth. It is a bittersweet tradition I look forward to each year.
